News stories just sometimes come together. At the end of last week, DA Fani Willis in Fulton County, Georgia, took the stand to defend herself against salacious charges brought by #P01135809 ’s attorneys in the Georgia Fake Electors case. At one point, clearly having had enough, she made a statement that has since gone viral.
At roughly the same time, Russian dissident Alexei Navalny was murdered in a Siberian prison by agents of Russia’s President Putin. Normal politicians around the world denounced Putin by name for this atrocity. But not #P01135809 – who made the following meandering statement:
"Navalny is a very sad situation, and he is a very brave, he was a very brave guy because he went back. He could have stayed away," #P01135809 said during a town hall interview with Fox News in South Carolina.
"And, frankly, he probably would have been a lot better off staying away and talking from outside of the country as opposed to having to go back in, because people thought that could happen and it did happen. And it's a horrible thing," he said.
Such a way with words he has.
Simplistic language and saying things are “very sad” and “horrible” while identifying Navalny as “very brave.”
Giving Navalny advice about how it would have been safer not to go back (#P01135809 has never done a brave thing in his life).
But then earlier this week he did what he always does – make this about his personal grievances. That’s what malignant narcissists do. In an interview with Fox’s Laura Ingraham, he said that his legal problems are “a form of Navalny” – whatever that means. But his Truth Social account clarified this accusation when he posted the following:
Biden:#P01135809::Putin:Navalny.
In case you’ve forgotten the analogies section of the SAT, here’s what this means.
Biden [is to] #P01135809 [as] Putin [is to] Navalny
I think we can rephrase this:
Putin:Navalny::#P01135809: political opponents
Putin [is to] Navalny [as] #P01135809 [is to] his political opponents.
Or, as Fani would put it:
You’re confused. You think you are Alexei Navalny – persecuted, imprisoned, and murdered for your beliefs. But you are Alexander Putin – intent on destroying your political opponents.
