I don’t understand the chart to indicate a reason to stop with the cable news. All the msn.com pundits have been “preaching” the correct answers to the questions on the chart. And, if I read the chart correctly, Dems answered the questions correctly far more than Republicans. I find it interesting to see the question about the market. It reveals a lot about our populace and the market - most are not invested in it. Obviously I’m not perceiving something you are.

I am deeply disappointed in our press overall. They are not serving us well. I, too, read many of the Substack persons you have on your list, though far fewer. I have not embraced the podcast world but soon will as son, Bob, is starting a podcast “Take off Your Shoes” with 2 others focused on Americans who have landed in Sweden for long term living. It promises to be fun, informative and will have substance of thought.

The only thing I'm saying is that I'm going to leave out the Cable news sources frommy news feed. They present good information as far as it goes, but I plan to read stuff that is more analytical and less catastrophizing.

I hear you. I have some of those reads as well, just not that many. I only appreciate some of the Bulwark writers, not all of them. The Atlantic, The Guardian sometimes. Pod Save America is a treat but I have to rest after listening to them, because my synapses don't fire as quickly as they talk.

How many hours in your day? My sources are on your lists, you have a lot more. My favs ae Pod Save America, The Bulwark, Letters from and American and Civil Discourse - those I don't miss. I don't read a paper any more. I get The Atlantic which I would recommend. Some really good writers on political issues. I don't have cable, so I guess that saves me from a lot of misinformation. I listen to PBS in the car too, just not right now because it seems to be all about the election. And I appreciate My Opinion ;-)

I look at (most of) these, but I don't read all of them every day or even most days. But I get them to keep them on my radar. I also get/read The Atlantic.

Karen, are you familiar with Ad Fontes Media’s bias chart? This academic group sorts the media sources by right/left bias and by factual/nonfactuality. I had their bias chart, updated monthly or quarterly, posted in my classroom, and still refer to it often. https://adfontesmedia.com/static-mbc/

I've seen this but I forgot about it. Thanks for the reminder.
