Another week, another indictment of TFG. Now it’s in Georgia. I think we can expect further indictments in Arizona and possibly in Michigan and Wisconsin. Add this to the existing indictments – in DC, in Florida, and in Manhattan – as well as civil trials looming in Manhattan and in a prosecution led by New York Attorney General Tish James – and TFG is facing a trial schedule unlike anything we’ve ever seen. He’s whining that he won’t be able to run for President because he’ll be in court too much.
Hillary warned us. Collectively, Americans didn’t believe her – at least, not strongly enough to vote for her over the failed celebrity carnival barker who occupied the White House between 2017 and 2021.
Lindsay Graham also warned us. In 2016, he said that if the GOP nominated TFG, he would destroy the party – and that the party would deserve it. Now, of course, Lindsay is licking TFG’s boots along with most of the GOP. Every day, it seems, we find out more information about the level of criminality that the people around TFG engaged in on a regular basis.
TFG is desperately trying to figure out a way to stay out of prison. For reasons I don’t understand, the GOP has decided to go down with his sinking ship.
Pay attention, y’all. This is all going to get uglier before it gets better. TFG will throw everything against the wall in his effort to remain both relevant and free. His enablers and defenders will pretend that this is all okay. They’ll pretend that all the forces arrayed against TFG are corrupt and criminal, while attempting to continue to benefit from TFG’s corruption and criminality as long as they can. They’ll “both sides” this until the cows come home, claiming that the actions of TFG’s political opponents are worse than what TFG does. They know it’s not true, but they’re hoping to delude enough voters that they can stay in power for a while longer.
Don’t let anyone defend him by saying they like “his policies” without all the baggage. He has no policies, other than grievance and retribution for what he perceives to be personal slights against him. He only has slogans. He spent four years in the White House without gaining any insights into how government actually works, and he shows no predisposition to learn from his mistakes. Remember? He says he never makes mistakes. The only difference between TFG’s first term and his potential second term is that this time he has people on board to help him plan. No one thought he would win in 2016 – not even him – so he didn’t have any people lined up to fill key positions. Now he does. Not that he understands what needs to be done – but there are enough people who are willing to ride his coattails into power that they just might be more effective at it this time around. That’s a scary thought.
I'm terrified. And I'm disappointed there are so many gullible Americans who should be smart enough to see through him. I can sort of understand the ones that aren't smart enough. And I can't understand the Republicans wanting power so badly they are willing to throw democracy under the bus.
Yup, yup, yup. Bad to the bone. Scary times ahead.
